Fishy Strawberry Freedom

You know a dress is top-notch when the boyfriend is almost speechless, like when I wore this red-hot new release from Fishy Strawberry.  I also had to wear my new Truth hair and the red dress gave me a good excuse to go buy the Lulu shoes in another color.  Why, oh why do I not just buy the fat packs right off???

I’d also like to wish America a very happy birthday today.  As someone who traveled a lot in the past, I was required to visit several countries, many of them allowing very few personal freedoms.  I’m very thankful and proud to be able to call myself an American, not just today, but every day of the year.

In These Shoes?

I don’t normally blog brand new items because there are a gazillion other bloggers that do that.  But just occasionally, there comes out an item that I must have and I must wear and then other factors convene and its like fate telling me I must blog it as well.  Such is the case with these new Lulu shoes from SLink.  I didn’t want to take them off, even when we’re tromping through a forest.

And the fate part?  I bought my second pair of Lulu’s Sunday before we went to Elegance Ballroom.  One of the singers sang “In These Shoes?” by Kirsty MacColl.  I liked the song and the next day I went to YouTube to find it and happened to notice in one of the comments that she had died.  Off to Google I went and found her very sad story and the injustice her death in Mexico received.

Back to Blacklace

I’m one of those SL women that don’t feel the need to complete an outfit with undergarments unless I’m wearing a sheer shirt or a prim skirt.  And I certainly don’t walk around the grid in only a corset, stockings and heels.  So for the longest time, I seriously neglected my lingerie drawer.

I was in a lingerie mood though and I immediately teleported to Blacklace, because I know they always have the most stunningly detailed ensembles.  Even though they are very reasonably priced, needless to say, I blew most of my weekly budget buying set after set and color after color of the most gorgeous, satiny, frilly delicacies.

My sis, Bubbles, says I’m an overachiever because I usually have my color challenge picture done by noon the day its announced.  Not this time.

I’m not sure what it was about the egg(plant) and I this week because I normally love purple.  So here I ended up, sprawled on a porch swing in pretty much nothing but a dress feeling unimaginative and uninspired.  No fancy editing, just a few tweaks so I didn’t look like a jigsaw puzzle.  *Sighs*
