I’ll Take a Vodka Please

Skin:  Laqroki;  Phoebe 2, Fair 01
Hair:  Exile;  Lady Versaille, vanilla roots
Dress:  Kyoot;  Vodka mini-dress, white
Bracelets:  Rozoregalia;  Hydra V 2&3

I was tp’ing around and picking up the things I wanted from the Fifty Linden Friday list and found myself in Kyoot.  I love the clothes, but can never seem to remember them during a fashion crisis.

As I was looking around and packing my inventory with more of the awesome things I’d missed, I found this dress.  Stunning!  Short (check), Tight (check), Sparkly (double-check)  I grabbed it quickly because I knew exactly when and where I was going to wear it.  (I love it when that happens)

Timeless Classics: Mimikri

Skin:  Belleza;  Aiko, pale 10
Hair:  Truth;  Sonya, champagne, streaked
Dress & Gloves:  Mimikri;  Diva
Shoes:  Donna Flora;  Milva, black & silver
Earrings:  LaGyo;  Moonlight earrings
Ring:  Rozoregalia;  Bouhachi set, ring
Bracelets:  Loulou & Co;  Enigma & Mandala;  Pearl Rain, onyx

There are a few clothing creators that truly understand fashion and know how to make items that will have lasting appeal and wearability.  One of these is the designer behind Mimikri.

I’m not sure of the actual creation date of this outfit or when it became available.  I do know that I acquired it almost exactly three years ago.  And after three years, its still in my inventory.  And not only is it still in my inventory, I still wear it, like I did here last Friday evening.

I have several pieces of Mimikri still in my inventory from around the same time that I do still wear.  I consider them well-crafted and classic.  With a little work of making a skirt-shape, the system skirt can still look fabulous.

Updated Penguin Suit

Skin:  Belleza;  Aiko, medium 1
Hair:  Exile;  Sirena, champagne
Top:  G. Field;  Floral Halter Top, white
Skirt:  Leezu;  Zarah flexi skirt, soft black
Bracelets:  Rozoregalia;  Hydra 2 & 3

I’ve always looked back fondly on the fashion trend of the mid-80’s of the female-version of the tux shirt.  I remember feeling so stylish when I wore mine with a black pin-stripe slim skirt with the kick pleats in the back and some simple black pumps.

So when I got the fat-pack of the G. Field top I featured earlier this week and discovered that the flower and the midriff prim piece were both color change, I started to mix and match.  This combination reminded me of an updated version of that tux shirt, so I paired it with a super-feminine long, flowing skirt to complete my black-tie ensemble.  Instead of cuff-links, I went with the Hydra bracelets and my stand-by Lady T’ shoes from Pixel Mode.
